This spectacular Superwhite Quartzite 60mm Island and work surfaces were installed by Planet Granite earlier this month they were chosen by a very discerning repeat customer of ours to compliment thier stunning bespoke handmade kitchen.
Our design guys here at the farm were allowed a certain amount of free reign on this one to create the suitable custom shape for both the profile and the shape of both the island and the other surfaces. It was decided by us the island should be done in 60mm with its double Ogee profile as seen below.

Below you can also see the ‘boxed corners’ a signature of Planet Granite for this type of design and material, the extra detail on the corners exentuates the pilasters below and adds that extra bit of detail to the design

Variety of Blocks
Currently there is unfortunately a shortage this particular variaty of Superwhite Quartzite from the quarry in Brazil so we are currently offering type 2 only as the last of the current type 1 was used in this latest project. The scanned images below show the difference in the blocks of Superwhite available.
